Reading is fun

Charlotte walked int the study. She was a bit nervous remembering Belle being killed here not long ago. She went to the book case and put the book she had taken as something to read. She then went through the bookcase, looking for something interesting.

After practicing in the Main Theatre, Snow decided to head to the Study she froze when she saw Charlotte and bit her lip. "Hello Charlotte." She said softly.

She jumped slightly when she heard someone call her name. She turned around. "Oh... Snow, w-what are you doing here?" She asked a bit nervously.

Snow White looked around and sighed, "I was going to get a book, I'm sorry if I startled you." She said apologetically.

She smiled and straightened up. "It's quite alright, I scare easily." She then turned to look at the bookcase. "Actually I came to find a book aswell. Can you recommend any?"

Snow White bit her lip, "Well I personally love the tale of Ivanhoe, its by Sir Walter Scott and its very well written." She said and pulled the book off a shelf before she handed it to Charlotte. "I was actually looking for The Last of the Mohicans." She said.

She took the book and started to examine it. "I shall read this then, thank you." She looked at Snow when she went to look for her own book. "Oh, I haven't actually read that one either. What is it about?"

Snow White smiled, "Its about two sisters who are traveling through the woods with their Indian companion and their friend and they meet up with another group. They find out that their companion was in fact about to lead them to their doom if it hadn't been for the other group interfering, long story short both sisters go through ordeals until the very end when it all comes down to a head." She said softly as she remembered the tragic ending.

She looked at her her mouth hanging slightly open. She then looked at the book in her hand. "That is quite a sad story. I myself prefer love stories." She lowered the book in her hand and pointed at it. "So what is this about then?"

Snow White smiled, "Its about a disinherited knight by the name of Ivanhoe and he has just returned from the Holy War, in England he fights in Jousting Tournaments. Along the way he meets his old love Lady Rowena and also meets a Jewess Rebecca, however he realizes he may in fact have feelings for her. Towards the end his rival kidnaps Rebecca and he has to rescue her." She said quietly.

She looked at the book again and smiled. "Well that sounds romantic. Yes, I think I'll read this one." She then took a seat on one of the chairs. "So how have you been Snow?"

Snow White sighed, "Oh pretty good, I've just been practicing for the performance next week." She said with a tired smile. "How have you been? Anything new?" She asked.

She caressed the book cover, and looked at Snow. "Oh nothing much, practise, rehersals and performances and lately I've been arguing with Peter. Such a rude boy."

Snow White frowned, "His sister was Meg right?" She asked curiously as she remembered how Meg had died.

She nodded saddly. "Yes, but that is still no reason to be rude to other people."

Snow White nodded, "True, maybe he just lashes out because he has no other outlet." She mused quietly, "Anyway I hope you enjoy the book." She said with a small smile.

She let her fingers trace the outlines of the book. "Maybe, but he should find another outlet than calling me old and ugly." She said looking at Snow with a sharp look. "I'm sure you wouldn't like that either." She then smiled charmingly and held the book up, shaking it in her hand. "I'm sure I will."

Snow White winced, "He called you that." She asked angrily and bit her lip, "You're right that's no excuse and I hope you do enjoy the book." She said quietly.

She smiled slightly and nodded. "He did." She turned her attention from snow to the study door and smacked her hand against the cover of the book lightly. "Well I better be going then, good night Snow." She said cheerfully waving her fingers at her and leaving the room.

Snow White watched her leave before she decided to leave as well, she felt tired and her stomach was starting to ache again.
