She raced into her room and then sank to the floor, she face-plamed and felt like kicking herself. Why had she run off like that? Jim must think she hated him, everything had been going great until stupid Charlotte had ruined everything. Charlotte always had a way of stealing any attention and planting it in her direction, "Why me?" She asked out loud but of course the room couldn't answer her.
